Review:- King Of Hearts by Prassant Kevin.

KING OF HEARTS

Author:- Prassant Kevin

Publisher:- Bookmozo

ISBN:- 978-81-920906-2-7

My Reviews:-
What does King means or let me ask what is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word King?
When I hear the word King, my mind makes a reflection of a man who is very rich, prosperous, handsome, has many wives and who is always there for the people of his Kingdom. He must work for the goodness and prosperity of the people. He is also an inspiration to many and is loved by all.

But can we think of a person other than such characteristics to be a king.

So here is a novel "King Of Hearts" written by Prassant Kevin and published by Bookmozo which shall change the thought of everyone.
The protagonist of the story is a young ordinary boy, Ayan Kapoor who left his house and accepted to struggle to achieve his dream. He wants to become a writer and present something to readers which is very different from the teenage romance and other genres running in the country. In all this while, he meets a girl, Misha who becomes his best buddy and who is always beside him no matter what. But on his first interview he gets trapped in talking about his personal life which leads him to tell the truth which he was hidding for some reasons. But as soon as he speaks his heart out in the interview, the friend who was always beside him leaves him and goes forever without speaking and giving any reason.

Why did Ayan speak his heart out in the interview and not before?
Why did Misha leave without saying anything? Will she ever return back?
Ayan wanted to get published and he wanted to publish something which was very different and very new. Will his work be published? Will his work earn him money, power and the celebrity status or will he become one of those writers who work is not appreciatwd by the public?
Will he become the KING of Hearts and rule the heart of the people or he will accept himself as a looser and will go back to his own city,Varanasi.

You will have to read this tale to get to know all the answers.

King Of Hearts is a beautiful tale of a young man and his path to success. The story goes on to show how a young ordinary boy brings the whole world under his feet and the sacrifices made by him. It also shows and teaches us about seperating and managing professional and personal life. King of Hearts shows us the importance of love, friendship and relationship in our life and how these people are beside us at the most trouble times.

The characters in the story is very beautifully portrayed. All of they have a very important role in leading the story foreward and for once the reader won't feel bore out of it. However there are a few grammatical mistakes which makes reading a bit difficult. At the end of the story, I think there is a printing mistake when a particular person is named. I hope this to be corrected.

Overall I think, the novel is a good and a quck read. This book shall be most liked by people who loves reading romantic, inspirational novels. The plots are beautifully weaved which shall excite you at times amd sometimes they shall make you laugh. However at the end you'll be satisfied for choosing this book.

Review:- First Love Matters, So Does The Second by Vishal Sah.

First Love Matters, So Does The Second.

Author:- Vishal Sah.

Publishers:- Half Baked Beans.

ISBN:- 978-93-84315-11-5.

My Review:-
Love.
What does love actually mean? Any guesses? Quoting from the dictionary, Love is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person.

Love and Ambition are two different things. When a person's love and ambition, both are same, he/she doesn't find any difficulty in taking any decision. However if they are not same, then comes the time to prioritise as to what is most important to that person - Love or Ambition?

Here the novel "First Love matters, so does the second" written by Vishal Sah and published by Half Baked Beans is the story about a young boy Vishal Kapoor and his friends.
Vishal is a young teen in his school. As all teenagers, he like a girl from her class. Her name is Vedika. Fornuately he gets the opportunity to sit with her in the class. With the passing of time, they become very good friends and he falls in love with her. However when he decides to propose her, she informs him that she has entered into a relationship with her tuition mate Arnav without knowing that he was going to propose her.
This news breaks his heart and he goes in depression where he is unable to decide what he wants to do in his future. In the mean time, his bestfriend Shaurya enters into relationship with Myra whom he liked and loved very much. Days passes by and results comes out.
All of them joins the school. However Vedika leaves the school due to transfer of his parents to Shimla. During this two years, life gives him a second chance and he again falls for a girl, Shreya. They get into a relationship and everything goes well untill Shreya moves to some other city after her schooling gets completed. Everyone start drifting from each other with whom once they promised to be together always.
What had happened that seperated Vishal and Shreya?
Why did Shaurya and Myra drift from each other?
Did Vishal and Devika ever meet again?
What happened at their final reunion at Myra's house?
Why do Vishal call all of his friend together? What had happened to him?

You shall find all the answers to these questions when you will read this novel.

First love matters, so does the second is the story about teenage life and how it is important to choose things properly when times comes about taking difficult decisions.
It also shows the immaturity of teens and how things end up or become worse due to reluctency or stupidity of a person. The story takes us to our teenage and school life and I promise every reader shall find oneself in this story playing some role or the other and shall enjoy the ride eventually.

The Characters of the novel are perfect portrayed. However there are a lot of subordinate characters which confuses many a times. One has to look back in the novel to know whether he has read this character before and what role he played in the story.

There are lot of grammartical mistakes, printing errors and various other mistakes which makes reading difficult a bit. The author and publisher must look into it and make the correction accordingly for a more better ride.

Overall the novel is a good read. It brings both smiles and tears at different times. It shall be most liked by young teens or persons who wants to take a dip into their school life and want to enjoy and remember their past school and college days.

About The Book:-
Everything was perfect when all of them were at school. Vishal was happy with Shreya, so were Shaurya and Myra. But little did they know that a life ‘not so perfect’ was waiting for them outside their school gate. What happens when one chooses ambition over love? Would you be able to live with doing something you didn’t want to do? Could someone rectify their long forgotten past? Is it possible to wina battole against Death?
Explore what it is like to think that you are in love for the first time only to realise that you are constantly falling in love, as a wise man said“First Love Matters… So Does The Second”.

Review:- #IAm16ICanRape by Kirtida Gautam.

#IAm16ICanRape

Author:- Kirtida Gautam

My Review:

When you read the title #IAm16ICanRape, what is the first thing that crosses your mind??
When I read this title, a flash came into my mind of the famous Nirbhaya Rape Case. I think most of the minds who read this title had such an experience.

The novel #IAm16ICanRape written by Kirtida Gautam is a big slap on the society and its rules. The story portrays how the law bends for people i.e. it changes with different things, situations or people. People uses such loopholes to do the harshest of crimes and they come out with least punishment. So I think we all must fight together for such a cause to fill up such loopholes and punish those who takes advantages of it.

Here in this story, the protagonist Aarush Kashyap is the grandson of IIT-JEE tycoon Rudransh Kashyap, the owner of RK-JEE. Aarush is very talented. Whether it is studies or any other fields, he always live up to the expectation of his grandfather unlike his father who never lived upto the expectations of his father. Aarush parents who normally resides in the US visits India for his 16th birthday. However the most uncertain event takes place when the police knocks the door of Aarush Bungalow and takes away Aarush. Why?? Aarush has been accused of raping a girl, Ms Subhangi Tyagi. She accused him and his friend of raping her and then doing various inhuman activities with her body which damaged her intestines. Though in the beginning, everyone stands beside Aarush. However as time flies, his family also starts doubting him.
Has Aarush raped someone??
Is Subhangi's accusation correct or she is playing smart against a juvenile??
What are the circumstances which leads his family to doubt him??
What does the investigating officer find in Aarush's laptop??
Why does Pihu kill herself?? What is that guilt which helps her to take such a drastic step??
Will Aarush's family ever forgive her??
Will Aarush be ever punished for his deeds or he will come out of the rehabilitaion center without much trouble??

You will have to read this beautifully crafted novel to know all the answers.

The characters in this novel is well crafted and portrayed. The authoress has succeeded in the description of characters which are on your mind even when the novel ends. However the best character I found in the story was that of Subhangi. She is a role model, an inspiration. Everyone can't be like her. I liked her approach towards life. This girl is surely going to make everyone fall for her. Though there are many characters which shall impress you in their own ways but the ones which I liked after Subhangi is that of Rudransh and Pihu. Rudransh is a self-made man and his way of leading his life, his principles are something which we all dream of but don't follow. I liked the unconditional love of Pihu for Aarush. Though I don't agree with what she did to Subhangi just few days before killing herself, I liked her pure, unconditional love.

The title #IAm16ICanRape is significant and has its own importance. The title suits the motive of the writer and she has succeeded in her attempt. Moreover the number 16 too has its own importance. The authoress tries to bring out the exemptions or the leniency with which the courts judge the juveniles even though they are accused of severe inhuman activities. Kudos to the authoress, she has successfully brought out the deficiency in our laws and how it is being used to protect criminals.

Overall it is a very good read and I think it must be read by everyone so as to get a proper knowledge of the thoughts that goes into the mind of criminals. Moreover the authoress has described the story along with the help of psychology so as to inform us what goes into the mind of an individual in different situations. This helps to know the characters more correctly and it also tries to show us that how a person can be different from what he/she prentends to be.

I would like to recommend every individual to read this book. This book shall not only change your thinking but it will also give you strength to voice your words which you want to take out but can't do so in the name of society and many other elements like that. This book shall help us to fight against all the social evils , the most dangerous being the rape.

About the book:-

To destroy great EVIL, GOOD has to shed tears of blood.

Rudransh Kashyap is a self-made billionaire and man of high moral fiber. His life is shattered when he returns home one day to find that his prodigy, his 16-year-old grandson, Aarush, has been arrested and accused of a brutal gang rape. It is easy to say, "Kill the Rapist" but what if the accused is your child?
This case takes an unprecedented turn when Aarush's identity is made public on social media. Rudransh finds himself living a nightmare as he fights against tremendous odds to get justice for Aarush, to save him and to bring him back home... But what if the unthinkable is true? Can Rudransh save his grandson, or will he end up fighting a different battle altogether?

Review:- S.O.A.R by Abir Mukherjee.

S.O.A.R

Publishers:-Frog Books

Author:-Abir Mukherjee

ISBN:-978-93-52013-24-1

My Reviews:-
What does SOAR mean? Any guesses? Let me tell you the meaning. Soar means to fly high just like a bird with ease. But remember that bird too doesnot start flying from the first day. It falls and learns and one day it touches the sky without much effort.

Similarly in the novel 'S.O.A.R' written by Abir Mukherjee and published by Frog books, the three main protagnist Uday, Adhyayan and Rajasekaran starts a new innovative business in the Silicon valley of India i.e. Bangalore. The innovation is very new hence never tested. As a result they don't find many customers for it. They approach many institutions that may become the customer of their organisation. However they dont find any of them. At last, with the help of Adhyayan's neighbour they get a subscriber of their services. Since the first subscriber is well reputated institution in the city, many such institutions join. After the few initial months, the organisation starts lacking resouces to run the organisation. The situation starts worsening and they too start drifting on various matters and programmes of the organisation. Will the organisation continue providing the newest services in the city or will it shut down due to various unavoidable reasons. You need to read the novel for answering all the questions in your mind.

The author vey beautifully takes us through each and every situation in the story. The story goes through many patches but the best thing I liked was its simplicity. The way the author explains the things, you will never feel as if you are reading a novel.

One thing that hurted me the most was the suicide by the student. How rude has this world become? It doesn't care of you at all. All it wants is - its satisfaction, its profit. Moreover I would like to ask a question to the parents too. Why do you parents pressurize your kids for coming first or getting 100, 99, 98% marks. Does marks mean everything. Do only marks define your child.
No. Absolutely no. I can give you thousands of examples of students who were the worst in their academics, but today they are doing the best in their profession. So please dont pressurise your child. Let him/her fly like a bird. They might fall at the beginning but at the end they will soar high in the skies.

The author has very beautifully portrayed the characters. He very nicely introduces us to Adhyayan who is in the US. He then takes us back at the beginning from where the whole episode actually starts. The characterisation is beautiful and I doubt if anyone can find a flaw in it. The best of all was the portray of the character of Shristi, Adhyayan's wife. Her understanding, her support to Adhyayan in various situations is just commendable. She is surely going to take away heart of many readers.

The title "S.O.A.R" completely suits the story and the reader will realise that once he/she has read the book. The novel has a subtitle too and the title acts as an acronym to it. The subtitle "Success Over Adversity Reigns" gives us a message that Success in life comes only when we pass the toughest situations. The author has tried to give readers a glimpse of the background of the story and he has succeed beautifully in it. The cover too is appealing showing three people looking at the sky. It also shows their shadows which has wings. The cover too adds meaning to the title and what the author wants to convey through his work.

Overall it is a good story with very beautiful characters. It shall motivate young minds who wants to test and bring new things in the world. It has various messages for the readers at different points in the story and these messages might help those persons who want to do something new of their own. Overall it is a very good read and it shall be best liked by young minds and profesionals who wants to explore by doing something different, something which is not yet in existence.

About the Book
Frustrated with their current jobs, Uday,Adhyayan, and Rajasekaran team up to start an innovative business, non-existent in India until then. Ignoring all pragmatic aspects of life, they chase their dreams with immense pleasure. However, their journey is no cakewalk, as they confront financial crisis and rejections soon. Uday plays a business trick to triumph over that uninfluenced market; it works initially, but soon boomerangs, blowing the team apart. The police arrests Uday accusing him of illegal activity by his organization.

Were there any blemishes in their plan or was it just a typical Indian market, reluctant to accept an unexperimented concept? Will they be successful in implementing their innovation, staking their hard-earned money, stable jobs, relationships, and life?

‘S.O.A.R.’ is the story of chasing a dream, quandary between desire and responsibility, friendship and love.Join the gutsy journey of three young entrepreneurs.

Review:- Hidden Husband by Shikha Kaul.

Hidden Husband

Publisher:- Gargi Publishers

Author:- Shikha Kaul

ISBN:- 9789384382070

My Review:-
There is a very famous poem in Urdu. I would like to quote a part of it here.
"Yeh Ishq Nahi Aasan
Bus Itna Samajh Lijiye
Aik Aag Ka Darya Hai Aur
Doob Kar Jana Hai"

This poem suits best on this story.
Here the novel "HIDDEN HUSBAND" written by Shikha Kaul and published by Gargi publishers introduces us to the protagnist, Aisha who is well-educated and independent to take a decision. She takes one such decision when she marries Raghav but she is forced to hide her marriage from the outside world, even from her parents. No, she has not done any wrong yet she cannot bring her relation out. This turns out to be an actual test for the couple. She performs all her duties of a good wife but it is not that can make or changes all the things in her favour. There are times when she is pressurised by her parents to marry, unknown of the fact of her marriage status. Thier decision of being together comes out to be a real test for both of them. Will they succeed and their love will sail along or will it end, seperating them forever. You'll have to read the novel to know all about it.

The authoress has very beautifully brought out several social issues like female foeticide, dowry, etc and she has showed and described it in a very good manner. One of the key thing which I liked is that the author succeeded in showing all the various social elements clearly and without mixing all of them.

One of the important thing struck  my mind was that why it is always felt that marrying someone outside the community or having a love marriage is seen as going against the family and culture. Is it so? Can't we marry a person whom we love and the only reason for it being that the other person belongs to some other community. Is our culture so narrow? Lord Krishna, whom we worship in our daily life married Radha because he loved her. Did he ask for her community before marriage? Then why do we restrict our children or oursleves? We must change our thoughts and work towards it for making this world a better place to live in.

The authoress has very beautifully portrayed all the characters. She very nicely intoduces us to the protagnist, Aisha taking us into her life and then bringing out the other characters at the right time. The authoress has divided the whole story into six parts and her smartness in this respect is commendable. All the parts takes us to the different parts of Aisha's life showing step by step how her life changes along with time. I personally think that the story slows down a bit in the middle but at the end the authoress picks up her pace ending it beautifully. The best suspense of the story is hidden at the end. I am not going to take it out but I have a question? Does such situation really come out? I can't predict about the probability of such situation in real life of a person but my personal view on it is that such situation seems good upto the novel but not in the real world.

The title "Hidden Husband" is catcy and attracts a reader as it raises many questions in the mind as soon as the title is read. The subtitle "Some secrets never leave you" adds some more, to the suspense that gets created by reading the novel's title. The cover too is appealing and suits the title showing that there are many things which are hidden and is needed to be opened for knowing all about it.
Overall the story is good with very nice characters and various messages which it gives out indirectly. It also raises and throws various questions to us which shall make us think as to where are we leading to, challenging our thoughts on various things. Overall it is a very good read and it shall be liked by all those who want love stories along with some social elements in it. Since the authoress hopes to continue her writing, I think she shall give out some of the best novels in the coming years and she shall be an authoress to be looked upon in coming days.

Review:- We're Corporates by Sudarsan Nagarajan.

To get the meaning of the word "Corporate", I took a dip in the dictionary. Stating from the dictionary, Corporate means of or relating to a corporation.
Whenever we learn or hear about corporate, we get a big corporation or a big company in our mind where many people might be working, bosses, managers, 10-6 office and many things like that.
Corporate world just does end here. It has many things which we can never think about or even imagine of(only if a person has never worked or has been associated with a company).

About the story:-
The novel "We're Corporates" is a simple story about the struggle of three people of the corporate world who are either thrown and dumped out of the company or they themselves resign from their job. Ajay is a young father of a girl child. He resigns from his post for he feels that there is much more than the corporate life. Even after a lot of persuation from his boss, he remains firm with his decision. He calls his wife, Krithika to give her the news of his resignation. As soon as she hears it, its as if all her treasures have been taken away from her. She starts crying and continously persuades her husband to take up another job as she fears of the loan they had taken and about the young girl she had just given birth but Ajay firm with his decision tries to make her understand but fails to do. He informs her about his future plans of writing various exams and taking up other jobs after passing the exam.

On the other hand, Meghna, a young girl in her early 20's is working in a software company. She is very good in her works and does her work in time. But this has lead to more pressures on her. The manager starts giving her maximum works due to which she spends her maximum time in her office and if she completes her assignment on time and decides to leave for home, she is again burdened with some more works. Its a regular office day and she is working in her office when her manager calls her in the meeting room. Unaware of his intentions, she goes on to meet the manager and the boss. But unfortunately she doesn't find her boss there. The manager on the other hand tries to touch her in a bad manner and take advantage of her. She runs away from there saving herself from his bad intentions. Frustrated from her corporate life, she doesn't go to her office for a week after which she is expelled from the company. She is happy about this but her parents are not. They ask her to take a new job but she declines their thought. At last with no choice, she is given 2 options either to marry or take up a new job.

The third main protagnist is Suraj, a hard working, passionate and confident software engineer. He works very hard which fetches him many recognition and rewards. He even goes to U.K. for a project where he stays for 6 months. But during the recession period, he is first who is thrown out by the company followed by many others. He loses his morale and is not able to cope up with the situation. He is so much disturbed by the action of the company that he does join any other company as he fears from another expulsion. His parents are too worried about his actions and fears of his future. Due to financial crisis, his father takes up a job. Suraj is very much hurt by this. He decides to do something but nothing comes his mind. On the beach, he meets a young boy. Talking to him for few minutes gives him a new energy to work with his passion.

Will Ajay be able to pass his examinations and get a good job?
Will he be able to get rid of all the loans and make her wife proud of him?
What will Meghna choose- Job in another corporate house or to marry as per the wishes of her family?
What will happen when Meghna and Suraj will meet?
How will they rise from nowhere to owner of a leading company?
What happens at the beach when both of them meet accidently?
What happens when the loan for the new company is not sanctioned by any bank ?
How will Ajay help both the bestfriends in achieving their dreams?
There are many more things that shall enfold in the story and will amaze you at certain times.
I appreciate the author's efforts in bringing out the various atrocities that occurs and happens in the corporate world. But the thing which I didn't like were the grammatical mistakes and the no. of characters other than the protagnists. The no. of subordinate characters are too much which creates a lot of confusion. I would like to recommend the author that he must always take care of the grammatical mistakes as it takes away the beauty of the novel. Overall it is a good story with many things to learn such as
1. Never give up
2. We dont know what is coming in our way
3. Live your passion
and many more.
I would like to thank the author Sudarsan Nagarajan and Author Paradise for the review copy.

Review - Urban Love by Akshay Chitre.

Author:- Akshay Chitre
Publisher:- Notion Press
ISBN:- 978-93-84878-60-3
Pages:- 203

When I read the title, I thought it must be a romantic novel involving two people from big cities who have lavish lifestyles. But the author proved me wrong.
The story is based in Mumbai and it revolves around the three girls - Priya, Anusha and Meghna.
About the story:-
The three girls meet for the first time in a local gym in Mumbai. The first meeting itself gives a kickstart to their friendship. With time they become soulmates sharing each and everything among themselves. But Priya hides everything about Anuj untill she meets Vikram before leaving for Goa and on the way she tells everything to Meghna.
While attending Nidhi's marriage, Priya finds the love of her life in Raj. However she doesnot reveal anything to Raj about Anuj nor does she tell anything about Raj to Anuj. The most important twist takes place when Anusha says some bitter words to both her friends leading to breakup of their friendship.

Will the girls get together as they were before?
What will happen when Raj and Anuj shall confront themselves and how will Priya react and justify?
What were the bitter words that broke their friendship?
Will the girls get their love?
Will Anusha confess her love?
Shall Meghna find anyone who will love her irrespective of her past?

All this shall enfold when you will read the story.

The thing which I liked most in the story was Anusha's love and respect for her father. She just took away the heart. She is a dream daughter a father can have.
The boys in the story are dream lovers and husbands a girl can have. It is hard to find such boys who are real gentleman. However it isn't impossible.

The things which I didn't like was there where some major mistakes which must be rectified. I did find misprint of names of certain characters which just disturbs the flow.

One more thing which I didn't liked was Meghna's one night stand. It is not necessary for a woman to sleep with any random guy just to be equal.
The portray of characters are good and you will get to know the actual lives of the people of cities.
Overall the story is a good read. It has emotions, feelings, and much more. The reader is going to enoy the ride. So with this wishing the author Akshay Chitre all the best for future.

Review:- LOVE BEYOND WORDS By Himanshika Sharma

Author:-Himanshika Sharma
Publisher:-Author's Ink Publications
ISBN:-9789385137
Pages:-171

Love beyond words. What does it mean....? When one says "love beyond words" what is the first thing that comes to the mind....??

Love means an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person whereas beyond means greater than or in addition to.

Summing up together, "Love beyond words" means feeling of affection and care which are far beyond the words spoken. More importantly it refers to that care, affection and emotions shared between persons when one person understands another even when the other doesn't tell anything.

Love cannot be restricted to just care and affection. It is much beyond that. One must understand and respect wants or desires of the other person. They must understand each other even when they donot make any oral communication.

About the story:-
"Love beyond words" is the story about love and friendship. It is about the bond shared between two people who love each other overseeing all the disabilities of the other. The story is a tremendous ride of love, care, emotions, friendship and many more. It shall also inspire the reader in many ways. Kriti, the protagonist though suffering from Arthritis, she never thinks herself any less from others. She enjoys her life like any other simple girl.

The protagonist, Kriti becomes an introvert and remains to herself after the demise of her only sister at an early age. But later when she joins her higher school,  she meets three girls who changes her attitude towards life and goes on to become her best friends for life.
In the meantime when she is in the school for some paperwork after her class 12 exams, she is informed by Aman(Friend of Kunal) that Kunal wants her in his life. He says her that he wants her in his life like any other girl whom he can use as a toy.
Kriti plans and decides to teach Kunal a lesson for life for his thought and deeds.
The next day Kunal proposes her. She accepts his proposal only to dump him the next day.

Will Kriti dump Kunal....or she will accept his love?
Will Kunal and and Kriti ever get together?
What surprises will Kriti get on her birthday?
What reply does she give to the person who advices her to give up study and tries to demotivate her?
Will their parents accept their love or they will be seperated forever?
All this shall enfold when you shall read the story.

The best part of the story is the positive attitude of Kriti towards her life. Along with it, the love, care, understanding and emotions shared and showered by Kunal shall touch hearts bringing tears to the eyes.

Some things that I didn't like in the story was synchronization of events in the story along with things in real life. Along with it, I did also found some wrong in sentence construction and grammatical mistakes.

Overall the story is a good read. It will make you cry at times but you enjoy it throughly. I think the author Himanshika has done justice to the story.
